Welcome to StickyPro ("we", "our", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our website at www.stickypro.in (the "Service").

StickyPro is a visual sticky note board with optional user accounts for cloud sync. If you choose to create a free account, we store your name, email address, and notes securely on our server. Without an account, everything remains local to your browser and no personal data is collected.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and how it is kept safe.

2. Data We Collect

With a free account (registered users):

• Your name — provided during registration, used to personalise your experience
• Your email address — used as your login identifier
• Your password — stored as a secure bcrypt hash (we never store plain-text passwords)
• Your notes — titles, content, and images you add to your board
• Account timestamps — when your account was created

Without an account (guest users):

• We collect nothing. Notes stay entirely within your browser's localStorage.

In all cases, we do NOT collect:

• Location data or GPS coordinates
• Device identifiers or browser fingerprints
• Browsing history or behavioural tracking data
• Payment information of any kind

If you contact us via WhatsApp, you voluntarily share your phone number and message. This is used solely to respond to your enquiry.

3. Account Data

When you register for a free StickyPro account, the following information is collected and stored in our secure database:

• Name — displayed in your profile and used to personalise your session
• Email address — your unique login credential; never shared with third parties
• Password — hashed using bcrypt before storage; only you know your password

We use this information solely to authenticate you, provide cloud sync, and allow you to recover access to your notes. We will never use your email for marketing purposes or share it with any third party.

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us via WhatsApp.

4. Cloud Storage & Your Notes

When you are signed into your StickyPro account, your notes (titles, content, and attached images) are saved to our secure database hosted on our web server. This enables cross-device sync so your notes are accessible from any browser or device where you log in.

How your notes are handled:

• Notes are saved automatically as you type
• All data is stored in a MySQL database on our Hostinger server
• Note data is linked to your account and is only accessible when you are signed in
• We do not read, analyse, or process the content of your notes for any purpose
• Notes are never shared with third parties

Deleting your notes:

You can delete individual notes at any time from the tool. To delete your entire account and all associated notes from our database, contact us via WhatsApp.

5. Browser LocalStorage (Guest Users)

If you use StickyPro without creating an account, your notes and preferences are saved to your browser's localStorage. This storage exists entirely within your own browser and is never sent to our servers.

What is stored locally:

• Note titles and content you type
• Images you upload (as base64 data)
• Your dark/light mode preference (stickyTheme)

How to clear local data:

You can delete all locally stored data at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage or site data from your browser settings. Creating a free account first will sync your notes to the cloud so they are not lost.

6. Cookies & Sessions

StickyPro does not use cookies for tracking, advertising, or analytics.

When you sign in, PHP creates a session cookie — a small, temporary token that keeps you logged in during your browser session. This cookie contains no personal information and is automatically deleted when you sign out or close your browser. It is used only to verify that you are authenticated.

We do not use any third-party tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies.

7. Third-Party Services

StickyPro loads or uses the following external resources:

• Tailwind CSS CDN (cdn.tailwindcss.com) — for styling only. No tracking.
• Google Analytics (gtag.js) — we use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site traffic (page views, sessions). This collects anonymous, non-personal usage data. You can opt out via Google's tools.
• WhatsApp (wa.me) — only if you click the contact button. WhatsApp's own privacy policy then applies.
• Hostinger — our web hosting provider where the server and database are located. Hostinger's infrastructure stores your account data securely.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.

8. Security

We take the security of your data seriously and implement the following measures:

• Password hashing — all passwords are hashed using bcrypt before being stored. We never store or have access to your plain-text password.
• Prepared statements — all database queries use PHP PDO prepared statements to prevent SQL injection attacks.
• Session management — PHP sessions are used to authenticate users securely.
• HTTPS — the site is served over HTTPS to encrypt data in transit between your browser and our server.

While we take all reasonable steps to protect your data, no system is 100% secure. If you discover a security vulnerability, please contact us immediately via WhatsApp.

9. Children's Privacy

StickyPro is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account or provided personal information, please contact us immediately via WhatsApp so we can address it promptly.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Deletion — request deletion of your account and all associated notes from our database
• Local data — clear your browser's site data at any time to erase localStorage notes

To exercise any of these rights, contact us via WhatsApp. We will respond promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our features or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

Significant changes will be communicated clearly on the website.
